About the Author
Bob Savar was a college and high school teacher and the founder, president, and CEO of two successful businesses over 50 years: a health foods manufacturing company and a technology company. He has always been a writer, earning his M.A. in English from SUNY Binghamton in 1972.
Since retiring at 65, Bob has played and taught pickleball and has written six books on the subject, one of which became a “best seller” on Amazon.
Bob encountered significant heart health issues and made dietary habit changes that profoundly improved his health. His research into the psychology of habit formation and personal experience led him to write Breakable Habits. In its first week of publication, it became the #1 best seller in the categories of Applied Psychology and Personal Success in Business and #2 in Self-Esteem Self-Help.
In all his books, Bob blends his expertise in health, nutrition, and sports and aims to inspire others to make the life-enhancing modifications to their habits and lifestyles that he believes we are all capable of. Through his own life, he demonstrates that profound health improvements and personal growth are achievable with knowledge and persistence. He believes in the power of sports to foster health and community.
Bob’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of sports, education, adaptation, and lifelong learning. At the age of 77, he continues to influence and inspire those who want to lead healthier, more active lives through his writing and teaching.
